Varsity College Westville Student Jessica Roux Qualified for Olympics 10km Marathon Swim

Varsity College Westville Student Jessica Roux Qualified for Olympics 10km Marathon Swim Jessica Roux, a Varsity College Westville Sport Development and Management student, has jetted off to Monaco where she will meet up with the other South African swimmers who have qualified for the Olympics and are being hosted by Princess Charlene of Monaco. Jessica has qualified for the 10km marathon swim, and will compete against other hopefuls from all over the world at the London Olympics on the 9 August. In order to become acclimatised to the cold water, Durban girl Jess has been training in Cape Town for the last 5 weeks to get used to the colder water temperatures and give her best performance. Jessica will join another Varsity College swimmer, Riaan Schoeman, who is competing in the 400m medley. Riaan is a Varsity College Durban North student studying a BCom. Varsity College is very proud of and wishes our Olympic swimming stars the very best in their races.
